Dr. CW Cheung has worked with a number of leading telecom operators, service providers, vendors, government and regulatory agencies and management consultancies in the Greater China and Asia Pacific region for more than 36 years. He is an industry expert in a full array of fixed, mobile and wireless telecom and cable TV operations encompassing industry competitive analysis, market entry strategy, strategy planning, policies and regulations, business management and business operations management, OSS and IT project management.
CW’s consulting experience in fixed & mobile telecoms and digital media services include ICT policies & regulations, due diligence and transaction services, multi-play & digital convergence, ultra-broadband networks and wireless access technologies, 3.5G/4G/4.5G launch strategies, Telco Cloud, SDN/NFV, IoT, Telco and OTT strategies, business models, service development and pricing, and customer experience development.
CW is active chair, moderator and keynote speech speaker in regional ICT events, conferences and summits, and provides workshop and training to international organisations including, ITU, APT, PITA, GSMA, NGT Summit, Asia Broadband Summit, Asia Mobile Broadband Summit, LTE Summit, Wireless China Summit, Carrier World, Cloud World Forum Asia, China SDN/NFV Conference, etc.

CW has been appointed as the overseas senior adviser to the strategy board of the China Mobile Communication Association (CMCA) since October 2005, honorary consulting advisor of Hong Kong Wireless Technology Industry Association (WTIA), and the honorary lecturer in higher degree courses in telecoms management, government policies & regulations in the Hong Kong University since 2007.
